Storm by Evan Angler - Wrap-Up - CSFF Blog Tour

Winding up the tour on Evan Angler's Storm!

Several other folks on the tour posted the book trailer, which has some interesting visuals.

I found the talk about "hope" particularly interesting because the "hope" here seems to be hope that the world can be redeemed, hope they'll survive, when per Revelation, things are going to get a whole lot worse before they get better. And none of the characters seemed to me to be actively awaiting a Savior. (Though, as Rebecca LuElla Miller pointed out, characters are also busy just trying to survive.)

Given it's a Christian publisher, it will be interesting to see how the rest of the series plays out, fair enough.

Joan Neinhuis did a very good job outlining something I hadn't thought to mention in the review--the technology. Some of it was almost certainly more fantasy than anything else (such as inter-continental transportation) but it was still fun to read. (And nothing less plausible than the TV show Revolution, as far as I can tell.)

Chawna Schroeder does a great job of articulating why I'm not sure that I'll like the characters more if I read books 1 and 2....I'm interested to see for myself, though.

Thanks for the tour, all!
